SDA Tour One Report 

A brand new SDA tournament started this week with the SDA Men's and Ladies Singles Tour opening event being presented at the CISWO Club, Glenrothes. 

Celebrating his selection in the International squad for the first time Grampian’s Danny Trueman took the inaugural event with a 6-3 victory over a fellow International player, Euan Callander from Angus. 

Both players saved their top averages for the final with Danny firing in a three dart 84.68 and Euan notching 85.12. In the semi-finals, Euan took out Colin Hepplewhite from Fife by the odd leg in eleven whilst Danny gained his spot in the final with a 6-2 win over Tay Valley’s Glen Parsons Making up the last eight in this event were Mark Barilli, Alan Small, Steve Buchan and Scott Winder.

The ladies' winner was Scotland No1 Lorraine Hyde from Ayrshire who took the final 5-0 against Susanna McGimpsey from Greater Glasgow. In the semi-finals, Lorraine defeated Grampian’s Emily Davidson, 4-3 while Susanna had a straight legs victory over Louise Paterson from Grampian.

In the ladies' competition, the losing quarter-finalists were Kelly McKinnon, Chloe O’Brien, Lorraine Green and Debbie McBride. 

The valuable ranking points gained at the weekend will be taken to the second event in the series of four on Sunday 3rd July at Bannockburn.

An overall prize fund of £11,000 has been allocated to the Singles Tour and is open to all members of the SDA and also to players who wish to register for the tour events if they are not represented by a Scottish area.2022 Event 1
